Choose Your Major
Your shapes your four-year academic journey and future career path at RCC. Explore career options using or meet with a Career Center Representative. Consider enrolling in GUI-47: Career Exploration and Life Planning.
Plan Your Transfer Options
Research schools only, requirements and majors can vary. Pick three options: first choice, second choice, and third choice.

- 22 campuses across California. Offers bachelor鈥檚 and master鈥檚 programs. ADT pathway allows RCC students to transfer with junior standing.

- 9 campuses across California. Known for research, academics, and variety of programs. RCC students transfer after completing major prep and general education.

- Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) Founded before 1964 to expand higher education access for African American students, HBCUs now welcome students from all backgrounds. They are known for their strong community, rich traditions, and academic excellence. Some HBCUs even offer guaranteed admission for California community college students.

- Group of private, nonprofit colleges and universities in California. Offers smaller classes, personalized support, and transfer-friendly programs.

- Colleges outside California. Offer new experiences, campus cultures, and programs. RCC students can transfer after completing coursework, research out-of-state tuition as part of your planning.
Meet With a Counselor
Schedule a counseling appointment with transfer schools in mind to include required coursework in your Student Education Plan.
Stay on Track with Your Coursework
Work toward completing at least 60 transferable units before you transfer. This includes your major preparation, general education, and electives.
