The RCC Promise Program

Free Tuition and Fees + Book and Other Support

The RCC Promise program is part of a state and nationwide effort to provide affordable education. Full-time eligible students receive free no-fee tuition and fees, support for textbooks, priority registration, access to educational and faculty advisors, activities and a dedicated community. Certain restrictions apply.

Financial Aid Virtual Assistance

Students can get help with completing the FAFSA application, CA DREAM Act application, get general answers to questions and receive assistance with financial aid verification task status during the virtual assistance hours. Also, we offer Cash for College and scholarship virtual workshops. Please look below for our virtual drop in hours and current workshops.

Financial Aid Wellness Hours (Via Zoom) 

Take charge of your finances with one-on-one time for your personal financial questions.

During these Zoom hours, student can receive guidace on: 

  • Mapping out your financial goals
  • Setting up a budget
  • Emergency fund information
  • Understanding credit and use it to your advantage
  • Student loan questions
  • General financial planning

During these zoom hours, we offer RCC students guidance and tools on a variety of personal finance topics, including budgeting, setting financial goals, understanding student loans, credit and credit cards, basic investing, and managing your finances while attending RCC.

If you have questions specifically related to financial aid, please login into the Student Financial Services Office hours.

Financial Aid Drop-In Hub (Welcome Center)

Financial Aid staff will be available to help students complete their financial aid file from 1 - 2 pm on the following dates:

  • March: 2, 5
  • April: 2, 20, 23
  • May: 4, 7, 18, 21
  • June: 1, 14, 15, 18, 29

Please note: The Drop-In Hub will not be held during Financial Aid Awareness Week (April 6–9) or Spring Break (April 13–17).

On days when the Hub is not scheduled, students may still visit the Financial Aid Office during regular business hours for assistance.
