大象视频 (RCC) is proud to announce the appointment of Eric Bishop, Ed.D as interim president. A seasoned leader in higher education, Bishop brings more than 20 years of administrative, teaching and community engagement experience to RCC.

Bishop most recently served as interim vice chancellor of the Riverside Community College District (RCCD), a role he began in July 2024. His career reflects a deep commitment to access, equity and student success across California鈥檚 colleges and universities.

Prior to his role at RCCD, Bishop served as interim vice president of enrollment management at the University of La Verne, where he helped stabilize a decade-long enrollment decline and created new educational pathways for adult and traditional students. He also led Ohlone College in Fremont, California, as superintendent/president, guiding the institution through the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic while supporting its 8,000 students across multiple campuses.

Bishop鈥檚 leadership roots run deep in the Inland Empire. At Chaffey College, he spent 13 years in roles including associate superintendent of student services and legislative engagement, dean of the Fontana Campus, and vice president of student services. His work included expanding student support, advancing equity initiatives, strengthening government relations and championing access to higher education.

Beyond administration, Bishop has been a dedicated educator, teaching in the doctoral programs at the University of La Verne and San Diego State University, as well as holding faculty roles at Cal Poly Pomona and Cal State San Bernardino. He also recently concluded a 10-year tenure as a trustee at Bethany Theological Seminary, including four years as board chair.

Bishop holds an Ed.D. in organizational leadership, a master鈥檚 in communications and a bachelor鈥檚 in journalism, all from the University of La Verne

Bishop鈥檚 leadership experience and long-standing commitment to community colleges make him an ideal fit for 大象视频. He will continue to advance RCC鈥檚 mission of excellence, access and student achievement.

As interim president, Bishop will guide RCC in its commitment to fostering innovation, equity and student success for its nearly 30,000 students.
